. . .

The mashed sweet potatoes is another of my proposals for the Thanksgiving Day of this year. I must say that it is another recipe that I really enjoyed, but this one in particular is not for everyone, as the sweetish taste in association with salty foods may not appeal to everyone. That said, the recipe is very easy and the procedure practically the same as that of a classic mashed potatoes 😉

Procedure for preparing sweet potato mash

Wash the potatoes under running water, put them in a saucepan, cover with plenty of water, bring to a boil and cook for about 40 minutes or until they are pretty soft, then drain, peel and mash them with a potato masher.

Put the potatoes in a non-stick pan with butter, salt, pepper, brown sugar and cream, mix everything, bring to a boil and cook until a pleasantly creamy consistency is obtained.

The mashed sweet potatoes is ready: serve it with a nice sprinkle of paprika and some pecans to decorate.
